Internship 2005
Accreditation
This course element will carry a 1.0 or 2.0 credit entitlement.
Work programme
The educational objectives of the Internship are as follows:
- Integrated student involvement in administrative and academic work – all research based.
- Undertaking or completion by students of their own approved projects
- Student assistance, in office or field to work by:
- Institute Director
- Institute Fellows
- TTR Editorial Staff
- Institute archivists
Interns may work in one of these areas
- Research and publication:
Identification and verification of references and citations in Institute research.
- Glossary
Preparation of glossaries of terms arising from the Institute's programme of work on Caribbean civilisation.
- Anthology
Preparation and editing of compendia of related materials abstracted from New World Quarterly, Tapia, TT Review, other Caribbean journals, newspapers etc.
- Seminar for Professionals
Preparation of Seminar programmes, reports and records
Supervision
The intern/s will be directly assisted by Mr Novack George under the auspices a Research Fellow or an Assistant to the Managing Editor of the TTR . Meetings will be scheduled at least once per week.
